Nana’s Gourmet Comfort Company® is a business unlike any other! We are determined to make the world a sweeter place, one bite at a time, with scrumptious treats that all can eat.

Nana’s respects and honors our planet, our people and our animals. We care about your food and how it is made and so we are organic, fair trade & eco- friendly.

Nana invented Pillowmellows® which are marshmallows that do not contain high fructose corn syrup, but do contain all natural flavors and fresh juices without alcohol or preservatives.

We try to make “healthier” candies so you can enjoy candy without the harmful ingredients.

Our Philosophy

Since the beginning of humankind, there has been friction between groups of people who believed differently. Archeologists have found evidence dating back to pre-monotheistic times of how first tribes of people, then cities and city-states, and finally countries, waged war against each other with increasing viciousness. World Wars I and II are extreme examples of modern warfare’s tendency to engage multiple countries, involving huge numbers of people and resulting in a staggering death toll. With the advent of nuclear capacity, our entire planet has become vulnerable to extinction. Not only our species, but all plant and animal life are threatened with annihilation.

In our World, our only home, we all crave comfort and hope. We all long for a world of peace and prosperity, and a home filled with love, understanding, and compassion. We wish our earthly home to be a planet that is sustainable, where we can raise children who have a future; a planet filled with a gorgeous diversity of plant and animal species, as well as of our human family. At this point, we humans need a great shift in consciousness, to not just tolerate one another, but truly honor our many cultural, spiritual, and religious traditions.

We believe that each of us can perform just one small act each day that draws us closer to understanding, which will eventually lead us far beyond mere peaceful coexistence, to a world where we can actually thrive together no matter our personal beliefs. We aim to be the first company to declare a mission statement that puts into action interfaith inclusion of all peoples. To this end, we are producing a truly gourmet candy product that meets all dietary restrictions in our religious communities with a certified Kosher-Halal and a Vegan-Vegetarian version. Eventually, we hope to add a dietetic version for those who love sweets but have sugar restrictions.

The mission statement of Nana’s Comfort Company is, “To increase interfaith understanding in our communities by making gourmet sweets all can enjoy.” We hope to make the world a little sweeter, not just with wonderful, comforting tastes on the tongue, but with the words our tongues form to bring joy to each other. Guided by this mission, we also hope to provide a gathering place in our community where people from various traditions can meet up with each other, at our new retail location: Nana’s Gourmet Comfort World Café located at Suite C, 3395 Auburn Hills, MI.
